bathing room (sento).  The bathroom is an ofuro, the sento is the public bath
 toilet (benjo). Benjo is a bit crude, otearai is better.
The paper used for fusuma is called washi.  Actually it is called karakami (Chinese Paper) Washi (Japanese paper) is what is used for the shoji (otherwise known as shojikami).
Finally, it is new houses that only last 20 years.  My house is 150 years old and looks set to last another 150 years.</description>
